How do I apply?
Look on "how do I apply" under registration.

Where do participants come from?
We are hoping to have approximately 47 participants from the University of Essex, the UK and the rest of the world. We want to achieve good student interaction and avoid clicks of delegations. Therefore we want to allocate students that know each other with other students and ask for Essex students to host non-Essex students. There will also be a team building session.

How much is the delegate fee?
Delegate fee for the four days is £20. This includes the conference program, lunches, snacks and coffee and dinners.

Where can I stay?
Modest accommodation is provided by Essex students for the three nights for the price of £10. This might mean sleeping on a mattress, but we do recommend this option as it would allow you to get to know better the students from Essex taking part in the simulation. Please contact Alice Lixi alixi@essex.ac.uk if you are interested in this kind of accommodation. You will be given information on who you are staying with and where closer to the conference.
You are welcome to take a room in a hostel or B&B and we are looking into various offers, which will be posted here within the next few days.

Is there a dress code?
MUN would not be MUN without well-dressed students. A strict dress code will be enforced throughout the whole conference except for the evening socials. This means formal business attire or national dresses for the country you are representing. Jeans and sneakers will not be allowed. Casual wear is allowed and recommended during evening socials except for the formal dinner.

Can I apply for chairing?
You can apply for chairing by suggesting this position in your motivation letter. The chairs will be decided by the simulation committee.

Where is the conference held?
The conference is held at the University of Essex in England.

How to get there?
Train
From London you can either take the train to Wivenhoe or Colchester station. The train ride approximately 1 h 30 minutes. There are busses to the University from the train station or can also catch a taxi.

Plane
The closest airport to the University of Essex is Stansted. There is a straight bus line from the airport to the university every hour. If you come to Heathrow, you would have to come either through London or take a bus to Stansted and change there.

What about sight-seeing?
In case you are coming from abroad and want to see London and other sights of England, we recommend that you extend your trip a bit longer. We are happy to help you with arrangements and provide information for a tourist visit anywhere you wish to go.
